HERFY and Saudization
Achievements & Ambitious Plans
Since it has been established 25 years ago, HERFY has not saved any effort to make all possible chances available for the Saudi youth to work and receive the proper training at the company itself through various training programs as well as on the job training carried out by its multi-national high expertise. Another fact that HERFY is proud of is that so many of the Saudi expertise who have worked and received training at the company are now top ranked in both the private as well as the public sectors, while others are running very successfully their own businesses.

At HERFY, more than 652 Saudi nationals are currently employed in its different sectors, which constitute almost 30% of the company's overall human resources. Moreover, an upcoming agreement is afoot with the Human Resources Development Fund to hire an additional 300 Saudi employees throughout this year and the upcoming year, increasing the total number of Saudi employees at the company to become almost 1,000 by the beginning of the year 2008.
In return, HERFY has received so many awards for its distinguished efforts for Saudization. Three trophies were awarded to HERFY last year from their Excellency the ministers of labor, in addition to so many awards and letters from the labor office, Saudization authorities, and many other official, public, and educational bodies. It is worth mentioning that His Excellency the Minister of Labor has proudly noted that HERFY is one of the few companies in the Kingdom having more than a 100 Saudi employees among its human resources.
Moreover, the company through its training department spends addition efforts and funds for its summer programs targeting Saudi students through offering them special summer training as well as part-time jobs in an attempt to develop and further improve their abilities and know-how; the thing which clearly shows HERFY's solid devotion to its patriotic mission.
Finally, another proud achievement for HERFY which shows its commitment to encourage Saudization is that the minimum wages given to its Saudi employees is SR.2,700 per month while the private sector has decided among its companies that the minimum wage for Saudis should be at least SR.1,500 per month.
